The challenge was to capture an image that portrays the measurement of time. While the instrument here is in the current day used for measuring time, the message here is a statement about history, humanity and our future. The alarm has gone off, are we ready to wake up, or maybe just hit snooze and go back to sleep for awhile?

Time will tell. If you hit snooze, the alarm goes off again in 9 minutes.
