There's a Strange Wind A-Blowin' by

Saw this weird cloud in the sky, and just had to take a pic of it… Never seen anything exactly like this before…

It’s snow, Barb. The density of the crystals is so great, they begin to fall, but evaporate before they hit the ground… usually. One might see little sparkles in the air, but if they do make it to the ground, they are ‘gone’ in an instant. I have seen these a couple of time, here in Florida’s wintertime. Nice capture! :-)

  • Thanks pete…. i really appreciate your input…. i’m not sure that is what this was, since it was a fairly warm day about a week ago…. and we have had no snow yet…. i know you said they evaporate before they hit the ground…. but it needs to be cold enough for it to snow, doesn’t it? Thanks again for your lovely response.

  • me either, sis… you would think with all the pictures on clouds, there would be one that looked similar. But i have never seen anything but a tornado that would compare. Big hugs, Barb, my sis….. ♥♥♥♥
