Love the tones, lovely capture Barb, she looks very content!
Thanks Berns…. many of the cows have already had their calves… that’s why i think she is due soon…. but she was huge!!! hard to tell from this view… but she was!! thanks so much for your lovely response! was so cold the water was frozen! not the usual for my little corner of the earth! hugs, my friend!!
She certainly does, either that or she is very well fed. Great image of the lady, I am always amazed that they stand out in the extreme cold and heat seemingly without any negative effect. People build shelters for horses but never for cattle.
Since they seem to really acclimate to the weather, if they built them barns, they probably wouldn’t use them. Thanks so much for your lovely comment, Bro!!!
Wonderful capture! Poor thing looks like she’s ready to be done with it all…and despite that she did put on an earring….bless her heart.
Well, you know how cows are… you rarely see one anymore without their jewelry on!! Doesn’t matter what is going on… always dressed to the “nines”… thanks for your lovely comment!! hugs, my friend who was featured on the home page of RB!!!!
Sweaters are too big, but you could knit some baby booties, couldn’t you? Lol.. She looks like she just “waiting it out”! :-) Pete
oh yes.. i have been making baby sweaters for about 3 years now, hoping and praying for a grandchild… so i will have plenty to share with this cow and calf!

Great photo. Cows are so relaxed and laid back – we should learn from them I guess.
Mother in Waiting. What a gorgeous shot my friend!
