Over in the oldest section of town (the warehouse district) there are many old businesses that have been closed for years, this is part of one of them. It was the only window in the building that wasn’t boarded up. Nice that they left the bars on the windows to protect what was inside, hahaha.

Excellent as a B&W wonder if the bars are to keep something in or out???

  • considering the area it was in… it was to keep something out! thanks so much for your response!! hugs, cuz!

Very nice b&w image, Barb….very sad to see abandoned buildings. Always makes me wonder what it was in its “hey-day”….

  • i feel the same way, barb… i didn’t see any signs that would give a clue as to what it was. thanks so much for your comment!!! barb

Great shot, B! I especially love the two loose panes which provide diagonal ‘accents’ in amongst all these horizontals and verticals. Glad you decided on mono. Color would have been a distraction. XH

  • Thanks so much, O… i’m glad you liked it . it looked ok in color.. but black and white really brought out the details more… thanks so much for your response.XH B.

You never know what’s inside. Amazing stuff has been found in disused warehouses. I love looking at old structures.. esp when you see nature starting to reclaim things.

  • it was so weird… every window was boarded up… except for this one… even the door…. and this one was so high off the ground, you couldn’t even peek in… thanks so much for you reply!!!
