Actually not sure what it is, a number of suggestions made (See Mick’s theory), possibly erected to keep the Kiwi’s on their side of the ditch? (too late, I got through – lol!) Port Stephens, Tomaree Headland, NSW, Australia. A ‘Bubblers Meet’ with Mick. Nikon D7000, f10, 5.30mins, ISO 100, 18mm.

An amateur, but a long love of photography. A recent move to digital has seen the love ‘blossom’, and a greater enjoyment in the field. I will try most forms of photography, and gain both knowledge and fun out of the experimentation. Using a Nikon D300 and D7000, with a range of lenses, and filters. I hope you enjoy the views as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them.

like the blue filter on this great composition. Nice work Baz.

  • Thanks heaps Tony, for fave too mate appreciated. It’s using WB to give this blue effect, I just like it for long exposures at night – gives that different result nice in some takes.

Bev & I must find this one day…Have lived in the Port Stephens area nearly all my life ( Lemon Tree Passage) and never seen this artifact.

  • Hi Phil, it’s right out at the point as far as you can walk around that side, so probably not seen by a lot of people. Still no idea what it is either.
