Tomaree Turret by

Actually not sure what it is, a number of suggestions made (See Mick’s theory), possibly erected to keep the Kiwi’s on their side of the ditch? (too late, I got through – lol!) Port Stephens, Tomaree Headland, NSW, Australia. A ‘Bubblers Meet’ with Mick. Nikon D7000, f25, 30sec, ISO 100, 14 mm (Sigma 10-20), ND 400.

About bazcelt

An amateur, but a long love of photography. A recent move to digital has seen the love ‘blossom’, and a greater enjoyment in the field. I will try most forms of photography, and gain both knowledge and fun out of the experimentation. Using a Nikon D300 and D7000, with a range of lenses, and filters. I hope you enjoy the views as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them.

Beautiful, bazcelt; unreal hue reflection off the rocks in foreground and right base of land mass in foreground. Interesting ruins; humm…probably Mick’s pygmy theory, or else the base of a small lighthouse of sorts errected by locals to help late-arriving fisherman find their way back home. Regardless, interesting – beautiful – image.

  • Thanks heaps Lori, yes certainly the right looking size and structure for that one lol. Not a huge structure, and we did feel that if part of the war defense system asking a volunteer to sit out there would probably receive a less than polite refusal.
