The Wiradjuri are the largest Aboriginal group in New South Wales, Australia. They occupy a large area in central New South Wales, from the Blue Mountains in the east, to Hay in the west, north to Nyngan and south to Albury: the South Western slopes region.
The Wiradjuri tribal area has been described as "the land of the three rivers, the Wambool later known as the Macquarie, the Kalare later known as the Lachlan and the Murrumbidgee (Murrumbidjeri). The Murray River forms the Wiradjuri’s southern boundary, the change from woodland to open grassland form their eastern boundary

Wiradjuri Sunset Mounted Print

At the top of this hill on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga, Riverina Region, NSW, a reserve area has been set aside in commemoration, respect and acknowledgement of Wiradjuri peoples, history, and country. Here, the rocks have sacred value, and looking over the Murrumbidgee valley and river (off to the left), this place has special significance. Nikon D300, 70-300.

An amateur, but a long love of photography. A recent move to digital has seen the love ‘blossom’, and a greater enjoyment in the field. I will try most forms of photography, and gain both knowledge and fun out of the experimentation. Using a Nikon D300 and D7000, with a range of lenses, and filters. I hope you enjoy the views as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them.

Mate, this is superb…..Love the silhouetted mountains and trees….Great sky as well

  • Thanks mate (although have to mention rocks not mountains – lol. The effect by lying prone on the rocks and shooting up in to the gap).
