Just the Two of Us mounted print

The Twelve Apostles are giant rock stacks that rise majestically from the Southern Ocean and are the central feature of the rugged Port Campbell National Park.
The Twelve Apostles have been created by constant erosion of the limestone cliffs of the mainland that began 10–20 million years ago. The stormy Southern Ocean and blasting winds gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs. The caves eventually became arches and when they collapsed rock stacks up to 45 metres high were left isolated from the shore.

An amateur, but a long love of photography. A recent move to digital has seen the love ‘blossom’, and a greater enjoyment in the field. I will try most forms of photography, and gain both knowledge and fun out of the experimentation. Using a Nikon D300 and D7000, with a range of lenses, and filters. I hope you enjoy the views as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them.

Fantastic shot Baz…..Great colour and exposure….

  • thanks mate! taken on a 40+ day at the hottest part of the day! no choice as was a flying visit – would love to get back there and spend the time doing some photography – especially when you see some of the fantastic work others have posted on RB.

It would be interesting to see a non HDR version. Great Work

  • while little wrong with one at the same time which is non-HDR taken at the heat of the day it didn’t seem to quite have the same impact – especially in that the shadows weren’t as clear, so I decided to go with this one. But, thanks heaps for the comments.
