Cook Islands Fish Spectacular mounted print

Rarotonga, Cook Islands lagoon. Just walk in to the water and immediately you were surrounded by a great range of fish life, they would swim with you and follow, and certainly loved ‘posing’. Olympus ‘Tough’.

An amateur, but a long love of photography. A recent move to digital has seen the love ‘blossom’, and a greater enjoyment in the field. I will try most forms of photography, and gain both knowledge and fun out of the experimentation. Using a Nikon D300 and D7000, with a range of lenses, and filters. I hope you enjoy the views as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them.

Wow, would love to do that, I adore marine fish, amazing shot

  • Yes, it’s a great place to go – we just walked out into the lagoon from the place we were staying and immediately a whole lot of different fish surrounded us, and they were more than happy to swim around following us and were quite tame coming up and touching as well.

Please add this to the Photography Challenge Group as well as to the challenge, as per challenge rules, otherwise it will have to be (regretfully) removed prior to the start of voting.
Of course, you can remove this ‘reminder’ message :-)

Brilliant catch, love the colours and the detail, the water is amazingly clear!

  • Thanks heaps! Yes, it was just amazing the clarity – guess it’s at least partly due to a lot less tourism in the Cook Islands – but this was the ‘view’ in the lagoon right outside where we stayed. It was beautiful.
