I love the endless photographic opportunities provided by world around me, from the abundance of nature in my own backyard to historic and scenic worldwide destinations.I am retired, beyond threescore years and ten.
oooooh awesome capture dang what i wouldnt give to win the lottery…
Couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw this, but apparently it is not uncommon around narrow channels. Thanks for your comments and favourite !

Wow, that would take some lift to get them that high.
Byron, thanks so much for your comments and favourite ! It would have been extra fascinating to see one of the boats going up or down !
Wonderful capture !!! ☺♥
Thanks so much Evita for your comments and favourite !
How sensible but I’m not too sure the operator would be all that thrilled if yours was the one at the very top. Good protection from king tides as well.
A great idea where moorings are limited and as you suggest, well protected from excessive tides, but perhaps not from hurricanes, although there is a strip of land which varies in width between the inland waterway and the ocean. It would have been fascinating to see one of the boats going up or down. Thanks as always for your interesting observations !
Fantastic shot which looks great viewed larger. Wonderful colour and detail Trish..Myra
Myra, thank you very much for your fantastic comments and favourite !It would have been even more fascinating to see one moving up or down.
Amazing Trish. It would have to be a smaller one on the top wouldn’t it. Was reading in our paper today about the twister of the coast of Bateman Bay. Did you manage to get a picture. It looks huge.
Thank you Lilian ! I saw the news had reached U.K. … unfortunately I MISSED IT … the first I knew the really bad weather day was being registered elsewhere was a text from a fellow bubbler asking if we were o.k. … then a short while later a b’mail from another to say he had just seen footage on the news … which explained the text.As far as I can work out, the footage I have seen (several times now) was probably taken from a vantage point a few kilometers further inland along the river and hidden from us by the headland to the left of our view out to the Tollgate Islands and the ocean.
this is a superb image, lovely comp and pov, great to view, Trish
Elfie, thank you very much for your superb wrap and favourite !
