The Koala has large, sharp claws to assist with climbing tree trunks. Their five fingers include two opposable thumbs, providing better gripping ability. The first two fingers are positioned in apposition on the front paws, and the first three fingers for the hind paws.
Wow that is scary looking good thing they are mild tempered great close up
Byron, I think I was a little surprised myself … it’s not often we see them out of a tree, so I made the most of the opportunity. Thank you for your comments !
