Photographed on a Gardenia (where else) at my home on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. I have not yet seen the beautiful moth.

Excellent shot, Trish. I think I may have photographed one of these (not as good a shot as this one) but didn’t know what it was.

  • Thanks so much for your “excellent” wrap for this capture Andrew !
It was in my “unidentified” folder for ages, before I found it’s identity while looking for another. It also comes in another colour according to the site I found it on and the two were both enjoying themselves on my Gardenia. I’ll probably post the other tomorrow.

I haven’t been lucky enough to see one (Moth) yet, but would love to do so as they hover while feeding, looking like a large bee or humming bird.
