Glasswing Butterfly, Acraea andromacha, photographed at my home, Batemans Bay on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia.
Another of those beauties that prefer the highest point of the Buddleja, rarely at an angle to obtain a shot for positive identification.
On a prolonged visit, I was at last able to get a few “keepers”. Thank you all for viewing, I hope the images give you as much pleasure as the captures have given me :)
Awwh Excellent Trish, great shots! Good to see you’ve got the Glasswing also in the garden! :) We must have similar plants. I’ve got heaps of Buddleia plants but they don’t land on mine. Just the passionfruit vine.
Gabe :)
Gabrielle, thanks so much for your excellent comments and fave ! Perhaps I need a passionfruit vine so that I can get closer :)
