An outside view of the abandoned church at Goolagong, New South Wales, Australia.
To date I have not been able to find any more information about this building … but I’m still looking.

Beautiful! Such a shame it has been abandoned, it would make a wonderful restoration project. How much nicer to attend services in such a lovely old building instead of the souless modern structures that are offered up to us these days! Cheers Val

  • So true Val!
It appears basically sound and I’m sure someone looking for a peaceful country abode will come across it at some stage … hopefully before any more vandalism takes place!
I drove past another of those modern structures under construction yesterday …. stopped only to fire off a shot in the drizzle.

Love it to pieces! What a great house it would make! Beats me why anyone would abandon such a lovely building.

  • Thanks Gary, beats me too as it appears basically sound.
I’m sure someone looking for a peaceful country abode will come across it at some stage and undertake a most fulfilling restoration project … hopefully before any more vandalism takes place!

I love discovering those old churches. Nice photo Trish.

  • Thanks Michael! It was one of those “have to stop and look at that” times on our two week drive a year or so ago!

Beautiful old building. Well captured Trish.

  • Thanks Shane!
It looked well built and appeared quite solid apart from vandalised areas.

I love photographing churches and this is a great find. It looks like some of our old churches in Scotland. Perhaps a presbyterian influence when it was built?

  • Thank you Fraser!
You photograph your churches very well!
I am unable to respond to your query as I have not been able to discover anything of the history of this church, but will keep looking …..
