Splendid Ochre – Trapezites symmomus
“Captured” feeding from the Butterfly Bush, Buddleja davidii, in my garden at Batemans Bay on the south coast of New South Wales. This lovely creature has a body length of about 25mm (1 inch) and a wing span of about 50mm (2 inches)

The title … I have long envied the ability of others to “capture” these beautiful creatures which never seemed to sit still long enough for me. I am very pleased to have had some recent success!
