FEATURED I Love Birds … 2009 The World As We See It , or as we missed it … April 2012
At Baltimore Inner Harbour, Maryland, U.S.A. I discovered this duck incubating her eggs in the middle of a raised garden bed (about 5 feet above ground). I hope that when the time comes, the ducklings exit the nest on the water side, not the walkway.
Doesn’t she look contented, and I love the way her feathers blend in with the nest. Great shot Trish!
Thank you Maggie ! Her location on the raised garden bed was amazing, with water on one side and walkway on the other. She didn’t seem concerned by my presence and I was very close, almost face to face.
