A Soft and Fluffy Beauty.

Thanks Lilian. In this shot, they (four) were very young and the parents extremely protective. I “kept track” of them as they grew each time I visited Canberra over the best part of the year. There are now many new babies on the Lake.

Both parents were very close by as were the three siblings. It was tricky to get a good shot of all four and this has been cropped. I sat on the ground about 6 metres away and watched them for some time. Over the months, I was able to get closer as they grew and I like to think they recognised the sound of my voice.
