Based off of Alphonse Mucha’s “Job” illustration, I painted this piece of Ariel from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” inspired by his work and his influence in the Art Nouveau era.

Done with watercolors on 140 lb watercolor paper.

I am from a small town in Idaho, which is, itself, a little bit small, and I am graduating from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Art Education. I have always had a dream of working for Disney, which is where much of my inspiration comes from and much of my work reflects that. I am also inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha, Sheilah Beckett, Lorelei Bove, and the many fairy tales of the Grimm Brothers and Hans Christian Anderson.
