Soul's Sanctuary by Mary Ann Battle

Soul’s Sanctuary

My soul’s sanctuary is oftentimes fervent.
The sanctuary stimulates the soul.
It is steadfast soul that never grows old.

My soul is a sanctuary of sacred truths.
It does not belong to Sister Ruth.

My mother’s soul has grown old.
Still, it is a sanctuary of gold.

My soul sanctuary is all my own.
It is a soul which can never be cloned.
It is a soul.

It is all that I own.
I was once a child,
Now I am grown.
My soul is not my own

The complexities of a woman’s worth
Lies in her soul, not in her birth.

Luke 1:46 KJV

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
