I have just come back from Hong Kong and bought it there. Be very careful, if you go down that road though, there are 100’s of dealers in Hong Kong and a number of them are out to rip off tourists (der : )….. We declared the camera at customs, but apparently if you use if during your trip, it depreciates and you don’t have to pay duty, so that was really good.

Thank you for that Phillip, I will go and check it out. I have the Sigma 24 – 70mm wide angle along with my 1.8 portrait lens, etc….(they are all listed in my profile) I really want to get the 70 – 200 VR. I was hoping it would be cheap in Hong Kong, but the price difference was negligible, so I thought I would buy one in Aus. I will be using the D700 in my studio and for beach portraits. Let me know if there are any other lens’s you would recommend. Cheers.
