This is stunning Basia.. A very nice piece… I’m sat here at work (must do some work) looking at this on my monitor which I know is a little dark and the lighting looks great from where I’m sat! I love the dark background and how the right of the rose blends into this.. this effect is always a winner! Looking at this closely, there is a curious bit of blue light hitting the tip of the petal on the left.. would love to know where that came from!

Basia, I have looked at this on both my monitors ( one is flat screen the other isnt) and it looks incredible on both!!! Lighter or darker it is a STUNNING image!

Very nice colours, great on black. Was the background filled with black colour, or is there some other technique? Either way, beautiful!

Works for me, lighting is fantastic and very arty and the texture in the petals is tac sharp, you have the gift.

I think this is really really pritty, the only thing i would say is that i think mabey next time the rose could be just a little lower and slightly to the right but only slightly but i only mentioned that because you asked for critisism and it is the only thing that i could say about it apart from it being just beautifull! wonderful job. I love the varation in color in the rose as well.

Whatever you did is great, lovely image.

gorgeous! I love the way it is off to the side. The red against the black is beautiful. As the stem goes out of focus it gives the whole pix a very soft, lovely look. the only criticism I would have (if it was mine!) that the there would be a little more clarity in the top, front petals of the rose where your eyes hit first. I’d love to see this as a Valentine’s Card!

Taken a bow and shouted myself a print of this to show my work off at home or office… oh and maybe keep it in my portfolio for all to see.. this is wonderful Basia, there are so many Rose shots and this one stands out as one of the best..
