I have seen some fantastic images of the old derelict jetty at Clifton Springs and thought that I’d love to shoot it.
But the images Ive seen have done this incredibly picturesque feature as well as it can be done, and I don’t have anything to add to these as straight landscapes, so thought I’d use the jetty as a setting for a series I want to do featuring my old comfy-ugly-art-dec-ten-buck-op-shop-lounge-chair.
Myself and my beautiful wife drove over to Clifton Springs, and she was surprised when I, carrying the chair, just kept walking into the water and dumped it in the ocean, but it made a great setting for some shots of the chair, some self portraits, and portraits of Kristel. Keep an eye out for the ongoing journeys of my chair in 2011!

This is brilliant!!! I can’t WAIT to see where your chair goes in 2011!
Thanks Dana – I’m looking forward to finding out where we’ll end up too! The more juxtaposed the better, methinks!

Sensational champ!! Aside from never seeing this type of thing here, I’m an avid fan of this. Its amazing how a simple chair changes the entire scene. Perfect photo!!
Thanks mate! The only thing i wish were different was that it would have been nice to have a few waves providing that real silky water feel with the long exposures. It was like a mill pond! Might have to return when theres a bit more water movement.
