Title: Salamander Notes

In the creek that runs across our property we’ve been finding many salamanders this spring and they are super cool critters. We have dusky salamanders and spring salamanders living in the waterfalls and hillsides nearby. The presence of salamanders, an indicator species, means the creak is relatively healthy – yay!

Here we have a curious little amphibian checking out a butterfly, another spring time favorite. He’s awkwardly knocked the treble clef loose in his efforts though, but curiosity leads him on…
