Waiting for a train in Wrocław, Poland. That’s a place I knew for years and never considered it beautiful until I grabbed a camera and started shooting b&w there… Personally I love the geometrical details of the building, and the presence of that sailor there of course.
Dzien dobry Bartosz, I really like the composition and black & white works perfectly here. Great photo. Thanks for your comments about my work! Cheers Anthony

I have always loved the geometry in these stations. The B/W works beautifully here too. Unusual to see a sailor there; and this adds more stories to your photo that tells so many already. dziękuję

Jen Koiya Dobja Bartos, I travelled from Vienna to Lodz by train with my wife and one of our sons in 2001, we were at Wroclaw station at one stage of the journey, from Wodz we made our way to Lovitz where my dad was born and then back to Wodz and to Praha by train also. Love the image you took at the station.
This looks Great in Black and white….it’s very old fashioned, if that makes sense. Makes me feel like I am looking at something from about 50 years ago. Focus, lighting, and composition are all great! It’s definately a pleasure to view!
Thank you all very much! It’s great to have so much positive feedback already!
That is a bit of a special photo to me, indeed I like thinking of it as a 50-s like shot. I couldn’t stop smiling after I took it ;-) It’s the platform I was waiting for atrain a hundred times before, waiting for the very same train… except I took it being there on holiday, maybe it made me look at it differently.
And by the way, where did you get to know those Polish words? (not to mention a train travel through Poland!). I’m impressed!
Dziękuję!

Beautiful! Reminds me of Pearl Harbour (a totally undervalued film).
Great shot! I get the feeling there is a lot if history to be told by this place.
