Half Pass
The half-pass is a lateral movement seen in dressage, the horse moves forward and sideways at the same time. The outside hind and forelegs should cross over the inside legs, with the horse’s body parallel to the arena wall and his forehand (not his hind end) leading. The horse should remain forward, balanced, and bent, moving with cadence. The inside hind leg must remain engaged throughout the half-pass, and the horse should not lose its rhythm.

I’ve really enjoyed this series of work Ade… and this one is no exception. Love the textures and there’s a feeling of movement and connection between horse and rider…… Oh… and I notice a Second at the Milton Show…. Congrats!! : ))

2nd at the Milton Show? Way to go! I never enter anything anywhere…I hate competitions, because of the many bad experiences I had as a singer/songwriter, can’t stand them, but I love being taught by people I so greatly respect and admire (wink) that is so precious to me ….hugs
