Adrian you are a dressage expert, why are they taught to hold their head in this way? Does it hark back to times of war horses where they charged at things with a sharp horn on their face plate and at the same time protect their throat from sword slashes? I was told it hurt their mouth to be reined in like this if not trained properly … but how do you train them without reining them in?
I love your equestrian art! I drool over it often!
