And I just Googled Friesians and read up on their history, or in this case, horstory (!!). They originated in the Netherlands and were crossbred with Arabians in the 16th century in Spain. Hence the rugged build and the graceful neck and head. I used to ride horses in another life and still fall in love every time I see one:)

in another lifetime, i used to have horses. i love them as much now as i did then. such graceful and elegant creatures – and never moreso than in these situations. beautiful shot and processing. very classy :)
