A narrowboat coming into the Norbury junction . The embankment was built by Thomas Telford as a detour to avoid a landowner’s pheasant shoot. It cost a lot of lives.I like the colour and peace of this.
canal, narrowboat, norbury, shelmore
very nice, I love the colors and the tranquil feel as well
Thanks Paul. I like the way narrowboat owners often have a little flower garden on the top of the boat.
Beautiful painting Barry…gorgeous alive colour and movement :)
Thank you C J. I like your web site, busy browsing it this very moment!

Oh…well have fun…and thank you for taking the time to look at my site…appreciated :)
I love the feel – very calm.
Thanks Sinéad, somehow a slowly moving boat always feels calm, whereas a slowly moving car sometimes irritates me to death!
