The bright background fractal (Ribbons and Bows) was created in Fractal Science Kit based on equation Convergent Map 9 with complex inversion transforms Ztrans44 and CpxF21 as a Julia image. The darker orbital fractal in the center was also created in Fractal Science Kit based on IFS equation Grand Julian (set 4), then rendered larger in UF, with some brightness adjustment in MS Office Picture Manager. Both were then combined in UF 5.04 using equation Circly Koch Curve. Best if viewed larger. Mahalo for looking.

What an interesting way to incorporate a Julian into the design. AMAZING!!!

  • Thanks very much, Debs! Of course, if I could just figure out how to work with layers in PS or GIMP, I wouldn’t have to go to such lengths to combine fractals (LOL).

fandamntastic !!!! After a quick peek at your profile your art has already grown on me!!!

  • Thank you so much for checking out my profile, adding me to your watchlist, and faving several of my works. Nobody else uses this software (Fractal Science Kit) on RB as far as I can tell, but the developer (Ross Hilbert) has some more works from it on dA. I’ve mostly been working in Apo and UF while also learning GIMP the last six months, but I think now I should be able to combine the best of all of them to make some really cool stuff. Each has its unique pluses and minuses. So glad you like my art; I’m honored. Best, David
