An abstract fractal image created primarily in Apophysis 7×15b based on the tutorial  "Volume 67 – Fractal Stars":  by cosmic-cuttlefish on DA in Apophysis Tutorial Fun group. Added an Fx with bubble and Julian3Dz (power -33) plugins, and a Tx5 with Julian2power-6. Starting colors from Apo gradient “Vchira 28”.  Color adjustments, special background and layer blending added in GIMP v2.8.   Best if viewed larger.

Although really intended as an abstract image, this made me wonder if one of these guys were “seeing stars” after getting whacked with some pool cues, if it might look something like this…

    spellbinding design… :)

  • Thank you very much, Pam!! I used to create similar patterns by very different means in Fractal Science Kit, so I find it interesting that I can now use Apo and GIMP to make these much faster and with more control. :o)))
