Our hummingbirds here at our home in Southeast Missouri have gorged them selves for the last couple of weeks on the sugar water until they look fat. They are getting ready to make the long migration to southern United States and Central America. Today is the first day that I have not seen one of them at the feeder outside my office window. I will miss seeing their antics each day but I am sure I will see a few more since they stop by as they travel south but the mob of them we see every day of the summer are now gone.

Kinda sad, isn’t it?! Your little buddies…all gone. This one even has a “tear” falling from his beak! But they’ll be back next year and we’ll get a whole new catalog of hummer antics! You work is just outstanding and I can hardly wait!

  • I do miss them, they are so much entertainment and keep me on my toes photography Thank you Sis

They become so much apart of your life for a season… beautiful capture Byron… like our Silver-eyes that are only with us for the winter.

  • Thank you, yes we miss them when they are gone but know they will be back.
