I don’t know what these wild flowers are called, they look like little yellow bells, but they are about the last late summer bloomers here in Southeast Missouri. They grow on the edges of the forest with long spindly stalks and numerous blooms. If you know what these are please let me know.

Beautiful!!! It looks like a Yellow Evening Primrose, however, I see these earlier
in the summer here and they die off by August, so I’m not really sure.

  • Thank you Lori, they start here in August and last for quite a while so I am not sure either.

i like yellow bells…. this is a lovely phot… love the background… a beautiful capture, bro.we had a terrible thunder storm again today…. and the flood waters aren’t receeding like they normally would… we have people that live outside the city that are still without water, and hard to travel because of flooded roads… mike and i are safe, and in no danger…. wish that was true for everyone!
  • Thank you Sis. we had bad storms today also. the lake came up over two feet from the run off and my gravel driveway is washed out so bad.

Beautiful Byron and look like the flowers of yellow Jasmine…perhaps Menodora scabra or twinberry? ~Sam

  • Thank you Sam, I will check those names.

    – barnsis

  • I checked Sam and it is close on the Menodora scabra but the buds are not the same. It is not a Jasmine or twinberry either, thanks
