Spirea Japonica or Bridal Veil by

I took the image of this beautiful shrub beside a city street in St. Louis but could not find out what it was until I posted it to the Group ID ME and my sincere thanks to Group Host Carla Wick/Jandelle Petters who provided the answer in less than an hour.

Everything is so early this year. So many flowers that would not be even thinking about blooming are in full bloom here in Southeast Missouri.

Excellent capture and beautiful detail Byron… it looks like it may be a type of Viburnum

  • Thank you Andrea, It does look somewhat like the Viburnum but the blooms are not quite the same This one has me stumped.

Very stunning capture Byron! I would go with a type of Viburnum..the leaves sort of look like maple leaf viburnum. ~Sam

  • Thank Sam, I have looked at images of different Viburnum and the look different. Still not sure what it is
