We have a 6 acre lake in front of our home here in Southeast Missouri,USA. The variety of weather scenes, reflections, waves, ripples and wild life create a constantly changing scene to enjoy each day regardless of the weather.
A pair of Canadian geese have made the lake their daytime home lately. I know it is the same pair since they all ways come to the same area of the lake. They are interesting to watch as they bob for food under water. Today was mating day I guess, I will not show that image to you ☺, and the male was showing how proud he was after the fact. Typical guy, had to strut his stuff ☺

Great shot Byron ! It is quite fascinating to watch the interaction between birds of the same family over a period of time and you have a perfect place for it :)
Thank you Trish, I don’t know were they go at night but they are back early each morning

Fabulous image and commentary! Love those ripples!
Thank you, that is what I liked about it. I tried a cropped version to show the geese closer but it just was not the same without the ripples
