I believe this is a male Dark-Eyed Junco, the males and females look identical except the males are darker in color. The seem to become really active before and during snow storms and after. We only had two inches yesterday and most of it is gone already. This was taken near our feeders at our home here in Southeast Missouri USA.

I love the detail and warmth of this image Bro! What a little beauty! I love juncos! I get them in my garden too in the winter and they are a joy to watch!
Thank you Sis, as I often say to you we have come a long way in the time we have know each other. Once upon a time I looked at image like this in envy!
You know I have this little birds in my back yard and one day one flew into my glass patio door, knocked it completely out! I felt really bad for it so I wrapped it in a paper towel and laid it on the garbage can in the garage! I honestly thought it was dead! I went out later to put it in the can and it was gone! I looked everywhere too, thought it has slid off onto the floor. Anyway about ten minutes later I saw it sitting on a shelf and it look as though nothing had happened to it! It was getting dark so I opened the garage door and a few minutes later it flew out! I thought that was so amazing! Love you capture of these perfect little birds!
Neat story, I don’t see that many of them around here except when the feeders are out in the winter.
OMG! Love this, as I love the dark eyed junco! I have a very hard time photographing them…They are known as the snowbirds and rightly so,,,Your image is flawless! Just Beautiful..
Hugs Laura
Thank you very much Laura, yes we call them snowbirds also. That is the only name I knew them by before RB ☺
