I was going to the Jefferson Barracks Military Cemetery twenty miles south of St. Louis Missouri to take a few images of this awesome, sad location. When I go to the entrance of the cemetery this is the scene I found as a funeral procession entered the cemetery. It is obvious that the firemen were honoring one of their own.
Many of those in the military go on to a different occupation after their service to their country.
This is witnessed here by this Fire Company that has a flag hanging from a ladder truck over the entrance to Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. The fireman they are honoring as they stand at attention and saluting here in this image was in the military and has the privilege of being buried in the military cemetery.
