This collage shows the detail work in some of the colorful mosaics done in pictorial scenes which are located in the smaller chapel areas on the side of the main sanctuary.

As they say Byron, a picture says a thousand words…..:-)))))
That is my thought with this one.
Even on the posts! I’m in total awe!
Yes , everywhere, you know I I was so busy looking up i didn’t look to see if the floors were mosaic?
that talent and patience our ancestors must have had… i can’t imagine doing something like this!!! must have taken ages to complete!! an truly amazing feat! superb! barb
Some day you have to come see this along with many other St. Louis photo worthy locations. It really is jaw dropping just to look at all the tiny pieces that go into each one, most of them are about a half inch square.
can you imagine the time it took to do just one of these and the detail is just stunning ,another great capture I like the tree together here
Thanks, As yo know each of these are around 10 or 12 feet square.
Wonderful collage …..awesome details !!!!!
Thanks, would have loved to show each but there is just to much to share as individual images.
Awesome Bro…would have like to have been a fly on the wall when they created this!
Well you would have been a very old fly by the time they finished. I can not imagine the plan it took to keep everything straight (which design to go where and what colors) for the 76 years it took to finish it.
AMAZING work here Byron………….thanks for sharing!! ;-))
Thank you Very much
Beautiful mosaics! Lovely work!
