The Ultimate Price has been paid by so many of the people from America for the safety and freedom of people all over the world. This beautiful final resting place is a very small tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.
This image was taken in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri. A very sad and humbling place to visit yet at the same time very awe inspiring.
There are over 172,254 individuals lain to rest in this National Military Cemetery.

are you veteran? My Husband was a Marine for four years.
No I drive by this cemetery about once a week and often go drive around in side it. It is an inspiring and sobering place. So beautiful with the patterns of head stones every where you look and so sad that so many have given their lives for our country.
