South Shore St. Croix - USVI by

This is the East End (at least that is what the locals call it) of the US Virgin Island St. Croix. It is taken from Grassy Point looking back east.

We stayed in my son’s apartment near the east end of the island for almost a month. The apartment is the third white spot from the end of the island on the right side of this image.

Being an early riser I would walk to Jack’s Beach which is just over the far mountain in this image and I would sit watching the sun rise from the Caribbean Sea knowing that on that morning I was the first person in the United States to see the sun rise on a new day.

Were it not for family commitments this is where I would spend the rest of my life, with my lovely wife Julie.

I have no idea . . . but it is not Newcastle – ENGLAND lol

Are you going on holiday (vacation)?

  • No definitely not Newcastle. In a way I will be performing the wedding ceremony for my son and his fiancé on the beach on March 12 but we will have some free time also, This is an old scanned picture digitally enlarged so I think a 10.2 mp Nikon can beat this, at least I hope so.

Santa Catalina? My last guess, otherwise I will have to suffer through the torment and agony of not knowing until next week. Cruel and unusual punishment I’d say….
