This is the East End (at least that is what the locals call it) of the US Virgin Island St. Croix. It is taken from Grassy Point looking back east.
We stayed in my son’s apartment near the east end of the island for almost a month. The apartment is the third white spot from the end of the island on the right side of this image.
Being an early riser I would walk to Jack’s Beach which is just over the far mountain in this image and I would sit watching the sun rise from the Caribbean Sea knowing that on that morning I was the first person in the United States to see the sun rise on a new day.
Were it not for family commitments this is where I would spend the rest of my life, with my lovely wife Julie.
