The Entity in the Bowen Building BEST VIEWED LARGE ON ALL 4 IMAGES.
I make no claims as to what this image portrays, it must speak for itself. It is a real image, not created, altered or faked in any manner. To be able to show this in an understandable manner I have to show you four images, the entire building as it is today, a full view from the left back side, a cropped image to allow you a reference for the location of the entity and a cropped close up of location where the entity is visible.
A friend of our family has purchased the Bowen Building in Bartonville Illinois. They are in the process of repairing and preserving the old building and hope to save it from eventual demolition. The building has been vandalized and most of the windows are broken out. The building has been know as the Peoria State Hospital for the Incurable Insane; Illinois General Hospital for the Insane; Peoria State Asylum/Hospital and the Bartonville Insane Asylum. The Bowen Building, designed in a rare Italianate style was open from 1903 to 1974 as a mental hospital.
This image of the Bowen Building was taken on September 27, 2008 by Trent Jeffries. Trent used a Sony Cybershot 6.0 megapixel camera set on automatic.
: the image was not taken by me but I have the photographer’s permission to use the image. This image or any version of it will not be for sale in any form and may not be copied or used by any other person in any manner.
I have edited the image in brightness, contrast and digital size only. The image was not created by Mr. Jeffries in any way. Mr. Jeffries took the image then discovered the presence of what is plainly a person standing in a window on the second floor.
