My mom leaning against the back end of her and my father’s car. The picture is from the earlier 1940s before I was born. She was a lovely lady, wish she had passed some of that to me☺
This scanned, digitally enlarged and reconditioned image is 70 years old or older. The quality of the original was very poor.
Amazing how big the trunk of the car was and how small the bumper and tail lights were. I guess you didn’t have as many cars on the road so you didn’t need as much protections from being rear ended and you didn’t have to be seen as well when you hit your brakes as you do today.
My son did an oil painting of this picture for me as a Christmas present a couple of years ago.
