*The Jefferson Barracks Military Cemetery is twenty miles south of St. Louis Missouri, on the west bank of the Mississippi River. It is an amazing awe inspiring location to me. I always have conflicting emotions when I visit the cemetery. Sadness for all the loss, elation that so many willingly gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. This is an attempt to create a mood image of this wonderful cemetery. I did the selective color to try to capture the feelings I experience when I visit this place.

Yes to your wonderful description, and a great capture and image you have here. I suppose it makes me sad most of all, as I cannot bear the loss of life, almost always way too young. Still, an enormous amount of gratitude for all the amazing bravery and sacrifice. xoxoxoxoxoxo

  • Thank you Sir, the old expression a picture is worth a 1000 words is true but nothing seems to be able to covey the deep feelings this place causes.
