Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

An American Blue Jay sits on an ice covered limb with ice frozen in its feathers somewhat dejected looking in the freezing rain today in Southeast Missouri. We have over 1/4 inch of ice on all trees and outside surfaces and over an inch of sleet and frozen rain on all flat surfaces. I am sure my two feeders are the only source of food for the wild birds around here now.

Great capture, Bro…. and no wonder he is cold… all he has on is a feather suit…. but he does look cold and a little bit scared of that big man that is taking his picture…. great composition, lovely colors and the details are fantastic. Fabulous!!! Hugs!

  • Thank you Sis, all of the birds looked miserable today, I guess being covered with ice would do that to you.

Oh his little tail feathers! how do they cope with flying like that? Great shot Bryon. Lovely clarity and colour.

  • Thank you Sal, they don’t seem to be able to shake it off, worried about them surviving the cold.

Always feel so sorry for the birds when ice is involved!!
    He’s beautiful!!!

  • They really made me sad to watch them try to get the ice off, usually unsuccessfully.
    Thank you Lori
