Polarizer certainly brought out the colours. Good composition with all the lines leading into the distance. I would have cloned out the twigs top right, they are intruding and adding nothing to the shot. You have a dust spot in the sky just above centre left – easily cloned out as well. Just a couple of small points which in my opinion would make a good shot better.

WOW, GREAT PHOTO!!! IMHO, I DON’T KNOW IF I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO THE TWIGS. I FEEL THEY HELP DATE THE PHOTO TO THE TIME OF THE YEAR MUCH LIKE THE WHITE CAPS ON THE LAKE SHOW THE WIND WAS BLOWING A BIT. I SOMETIMES WONDER IF WE DON’T TRY TO MAKE OUR PHOTOS TO “GOOD”??? WHAT MIGHT BE FUN WITH THIS IS TO DO A FOUR SEASONS GROUP [SPRING/SUMMER/FALL/WINTER] FROM THIS VERY SAME SPOT. THE ANGLES ARE FANTASTIC. ANYWAY, THANKS FOR READING THE THOUGHTS OF ONE OLD GUY WHO HAS VERY FEW JUST PLAIN THOUGHTS NOW DAYS TO SAY NOTHING ABOUT HAVING ANY GOOD THOUGHTS.

Beautiful scenic place Paul…Did’nt they make a movie called “lake Placid”?? *-)

Hi YJ, I’m always interested is your opinion and thoughts. At one time I did little if anything to my photos because I felt the art is in what you took not the post processing. Now I process most photos. Thanks for your interest.

Lovely scene Paul. Well composed. I could sit at that spot for hours and just relax. Peaceful image to view.

Beaut scene Paul. Love the colour and comp! I’d like to see more comments like Eddie’s. Yeap, I miss them from DPF too.

Thanks Theresa, the road to Lake Placid is one of the most scenic roads I have ever traveled.

Thanks Claire, I was sure I was not alone with hoping for advice on how to improve my photos. I think RedBubble is missing out on a new group.

Hi again , I was just reading the rest of the comments, I too feel there may be a need for a critique group in Redbubble.
