Artist's Description

Inspired by the Tunguska incident.

The Tunguska event was a gigantic explosion near the Tunguska River in 1908 (101º57’E, 60º55’N). It’s origins are still officially unknown yet it is believed to be a meteor of some sorts. Only few people lived in that isolated area.

Idea was to express that event from the local people point of view. What they saw and how they reacted. It had to be something very scary. What they saw was light as bright as the sun, they heard very strong explosions and soon felt the pressure wave going by even at longer distances.
