Valerie Rosen is a self-taught published photographer who has recently completed a five-month journey throughout India, celebrating street photography in 41 cities within 13 states and never tiring of challenging herself to capture the kind and friendly spirit of Indian people. She is no stranger to an international lifestyle, born in Montreal, Canada, having lived in the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Guatemala, and with travel experience of over 25 foreign countries within North America, Central America, South America, Asia, and a bit of Europe.
For Valerie, the marriage of travel and photography nourishes her soul; although, it is specifically the chance to witness and document the human experience from culture to culture that intrigues and inspires her. She specializes in environmental portraits and storytelling vignettes of daily life moments, with a soft spot for deteriorated, textured surfaces, and people with too many lines in their faces; they tell great stories.
She is currently chasing photographic stories in Nepal…
