Peace Love Naked

I try to cover myself
with clothing
Try to hide from the world
my imperfections
Wounds and scars
inside and out

Within this shell I contain myself
The outside filled with looking glasses
no one can see beyond but me

Unless I let them

My looking glasses
shine over the most beautiful
coastal sunsets and tropical waters
African rainstorms and
desert sand formations
Jungles of romance
Forests of adventure
Oceans of honesty
Exploring the wondrous pleasures
of peaceful nature
in it’s most gorgeous form
A woman

These clothes, these baggy rags
cover the obscure and obscene
But how is it that nature lies?

Like dogs is it wrong
to lay amongst each other
To touch and care like sisters, brothers
To be free with one another
And all walks of life alike

So what are we covering up?
For whatever reason you choose
let it not be that you are ashamed
Let it not be the minds of others
or the ones who criticize

Let only the cold hold you back
