Well, this week signalled the end of my short crash course in photography. Many thanks to two local teachers (Peter and Paul) for helping me and patiently answering numerous questions on all the camera technicalities. My head is whirling with lots of facts and I hope that in time, things will seem dead-pan easy!
Good luck came my way tonight at camera club and I was completely taken aback to winning third place in the digital shots competition. So, I must have learnt something over these past few weeks!
Photographing beauty gives me a sense of joy and I enjoy sharing my efforts. Please feel free to critique -I am always open to constructive critiscm to help improve my skills.
I also enjoy writing short poems, my imagination seems to flow in all such of directions and is not always true of my own personality! It’s like acting I guess, sort of donning a new personality or character for a short while. Again, I am no expert and have never been to poetry readings or classes in my life, so please be gentle with your critiscm in that dept!
See you soon!
Anna
It’s Christmas! / A time for solidarity, / love and peace. / A time to bring comfort and joy / to those in our need. / To give kindness to our neighbour
I saw you standing there. / Living life, without a care. / Your cheek was pressed hard against hers, / and, / you were laughing.
Fun poem for all blondes.
As my day does draw to a close, / I know the moon and stars are / but a heartbeat away.
I loved the way you looked at me, / I saw that sparkle in your eyes. / You held my hand with knowing pride, / walked with me, side by side. I shall miss your sweet lips / your tender embrace,
There’s no-one like you / Laughter lifts dour gloom / Illuminates any room / you are someone special
