So beautiful Barb! I love the stark contrast of ice and water! Great image my dear!
Thanks, Robin…I’m always awestruck when I walk out of the woods and take in the view…especially in the winter!
These truly are beautiful pictures, all three.
Thank you so much…I should have done a panorama because it is so amazing to see in person!
Looks like a different world! Beautiful!
Winter along the beach brings its own beauty…and yes, very different looking than the summer beach! I love living here!! Thank you, Lynne!
Is this going to cause a flood when all the ice melts? It looks pretty stable, Barb… maybe you should try walking across… but be sure to tie a rope to yourself… in case you fall in!!! This is a gorgeous picture… fantastic POV… are those snow clouds?? are you expecting more snow soon? oh my.. i hope not! stay warm, my friend… hugs
Nope, no flooding. Actually, all the snow we’ve gotten will eventually find its way into Lake Michigan. We like the snow because it means the lake levels will be up and that is helpful when the ships come into port. And yes, we’re supposed to get Lake Effect snow for the next few days….never much 3" or so per day. No big deal (after the 19" last week!). Thanks, dear friend…I can always count on you to leave a lovely comment!
Thank you so much, Jenny…I really appreciate it!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Great shot… you were energetic to bundle up and hike out there.
It was quite a hike but I find that as I’m hiking, I never really get cold. Always amazing…and then the beauty around me..I just love it! Thanks so much, Maria!
This looks cool! Can you Kayak around all the ice? or is it unstable?
I’m thinking you probably could although there is a lot of ice floating free that could make it a bit dicey. I’ve never seen anyone doing it in the winter, although quite popular in the spring, summer, and fall… Thanks very much, Melissa!
Beautiful, love the different layers of color, Very well done sis.
The clouds represent the Lake Effect snows that are due to come inland sometime today…yippee! More snow! Thanks so much…and thanks also for making this a Favorite! I really appreciate it!
Oooooh Burrrrrr!…but beautiful capture!
It wasn’t so cold out yesterday…thus the floating ice. Today it is much colder and I’m sure a totally different scene down at the beach! Thanks so much, Susan!
