This Tall Ship entered Muskegon Harbor with no sails because there was almost no wind out on Lake Michigan! Rarely happens but most of the ships have engines for just that rare occurance.

The Roald Amundsen is a German 165 foot-long steel-hulled brig built in 1952.

The Tall Ships are visiting Muskegon, Michigan as part of the Great Lakes United Tall Ships Challenge Race to Save the Great lakes. The Great Lakes tour is inteded to raise awaremess of water preservation. This ship came in from the Lake Michigan part of their tour into the Muskegon Harbor before docking on Muskegon Lake for the weekend.
